João Gonzalez directed, wrote, animated, and scored(god what doesn't he do) this amazing animated short in "Ice Merchants" about a father and a son where they sell ice to a local village, but trust me when I tell you there's more to this short than meets the eye.

Based on true events, BOY FROM NOWHERE follows the story of Gary, a young and vulnerable Filipino boy who loses everything in an attack on his village that kills his father. This is also the directorial debut of SJ Finlay, which is shot guerrilla style on location, in multiple dangerous areas of the southern Philippines. Sometimes it's a good thing to be uncomfortable watching a film, and if you sw Weitz film "Grandma" imagine that movie, but the subject matter will divide audiences, the question is should it?
Written and directed by Paul Weitz(About a Boy, American Pie, Down to Earth, Mozart in the Jungle)directs an all star cast including Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Malcolm McDowell and Richard Roundtree(yes Shaft is in this, and he's AWESOME).
